BMW has decided to move a part of its engine production out of the UK because of the Brexit uncertainty. The decision on relocating production from the UK is to avoid extra import tariffs, additional administrative burdens and other costs, since both candidates to be the next prime minister, Jeremy Hunt and Boris Johnson, have indicated that they are prepared to leave the EU without any agreements - the so-called hard Brexit. The UK is scheduled to leave the EU on October 31, 2019.
